In Barcelona, there are many initiatives related to environmental sustainability that move lots of people and have a great positive impact in the city. Nevertheless, we realized there is not yet an ecosystem that focuses on this subject. 

For this reason, we decided to create BCN Mycelium, to unite, strengthen and enhance these initiatives that are so important for society and our planet. We want to be a catalyst to generate synergies among all organizations, institutions, companies, etc., and achieve together greater environmental impact.

What have we achieved so far?

- Waste management meetup with the local government, a startup and a citizen initiative as speakers and around 30 participants. 

- Global Goals Jam hackathon by the UN, in which multidisciplinary teams worked together on local challenges related to the SDGs. 

- Renewable energy meetup with speakers from the corporate, startup and institutional sectors and around 30 participants. Published a report with the meetup outcome.
