CARNAVAL

Problem Statement

Due to the risk that children face in their homes, DIF has taken them to shelters where they are cared for; however, their situation remains vulnerable.


Target Group

Children aged 5 to 17 years in León, Mexico.


Proposed Solution

Conduct the monthly CARNAVAL event with the aim of creating a positive impact on the children through inclusive recreational activities that provide them with an experience of love, care, solidarity, and fun.

  1. Meaningful life development activities (June 24).

  2. Bonding and sharing who I am (July 22).

  3. Extreme rally (August 19).

  4. Children in sports (September 16).

  5. Mexican festivities (October 28).

  6. Picnic day (November 18).

  7. Mexican festivities (December 23).

  8. Social interaction.


Short-term Objective

Raise awareness that there is a better world of which they are a part, regardless of their situation.


Long-term Objective

Develop skills that enable them to identify and apply life skills, thus expanding the possibilities of what they can achieve.


Available Metrics

We will be working with 25 children, representing 14.21% of the child population in shelters in the city of León.
