The Climate Crisis is looming and we are already witnessing its effects in our home state, Kerala. The catastrophic floods of 2018 and 2019, landslides, severe heat, water shortages and routine coastal flooding are severely impacting numerous communities, and disproportionately the poor and vulnerable. Conversations surrounding climate change and action have been largely steered by international goals and metrics that are detached from the realities of local communities. Through The Climate Collaborative, The Kochi Hub of Global Shapers Community intends to build a platform for active climate conversations that are relevant to our state, moreover we are building a community of climate enthusiasts to kickstart initiatives and campaigns to combat local climate issues. 

Objective of the project :

• To create awareness about climate change, education and action and bring focus to local climate issues.


• To facilitate conversations on climate


• To create a community of climate champions and workers
