Clim'Attivo

Clim’Attivo (“Active Climate”) is the new project led by the GS Rome hub on climate education and young people’s empowerment.

Together with NGOs, local institutions, engaged companies, and academia, the Rome Hub will serve as a bridge between the most active actors in shaping sustainable development and the youngest generations who are struggling with their career choices.

The project’s objective will be first giving a 360-degree perspective on the phenomenon of climate change and the road of the SDGs, giving the concrete examples of how several actors of our society are reacting. The aim is choosing the same students of one school (e.g. 40-60 people), who will follow a path on 4/5 sectors (e.g. renewables, food waste & circular economy, ocean, mobility, among others). Each “class” will be introduced by on GS and one or two professionals or activists, who will also be available for an extensive Q&A session.

The objective is inspiring young people’s career aspirations, giving hope on how the world is reacting to our century's crisis while empowering new generations in their role.

On April 28th, the project had its first kick-off as a one-spot presentation to a high school in Rome, where we were hosted together with an Italian association that aims at protecting marine areas from the harsh consequences of climate change and plastic pollution. We delivered a highly participated 2-hour presentation where over 60 people could investigate how the climate change crisis is affecting the sea, and what they can actively do as protagonists for a change.

The objective is inspiring the young people’s career aspirations, giving hope on how the world is reacting to our century crisis, while empowering new generations in their role.
