Disruptora Segunda Generación

Problem Statement

More women in Latin America need to be trained in tech so that they can get better jobs and therefore a better quality of life.


Target Group

Women over 18 years old who are looking to stand out in the STEM area.


Proposed Solution

The Leon Hub is working to get more women to choose tech careers and has launched the Disruptora "Segunda Generación" project which is an online program on information technology for women in Latam, which includes mentoring and workshops in order to develop soft and hard skills, especially in data science.


Hub Activities


  • Preparatory course: Introduction into python programming

  • Personalized advice: Answer questions and doubts about de course

  • Homeworks and activities

  • Community building

  • Coffee time: Meetings with every single participant to track progress on the course

  • Bootcamp: Introduction into Data science.

  • Final project: Pitch the individual project.

  • Link with companies: Build a network with strategies companies to facilitate the empowerment of women into high tech


Short & Long-Term Goals/Results

Short Term:

●      Help the 27 students to successfully complete the course.

●      Make a network between the students and some strategies companies to facilitate future work opportunities.

●      Create a big community between the differents generations of disruptora. 


Long Term: 

●     Diversify the target of the courses.

●     Make the course available to more people across the world.

●      Develop a course in collaboration with another hub.
