Entering the workforce


The project addresses and solves the issues young professionals face in work-life and what are the main concerns regarding the future. The project consists of a survey, that aims to anonymously collect thoughts, concerns and ideas from young professionals. The survey will be distributed to Global Shaper members in the Nordic-Baltic region. Later phases of the project analyse this information, communicate it (e.g. blogposts) and organize a workshop with an external partner to discuss these issues and find solutions


Young professionals are experiencing ever increasing pressure in work life in terms of required skills, competition, work-life balance and finding meaning full jobs. the burnout rate for young professionals is very high in Finland. To gather thoughts, concerns and ideas from young professionals, analyse it and brainstorm solutions with an external partner (e.g. a company). This serves the partner in order to find out what its future workforce is thinking. 

 

The project's short term goal is to gather analyse it and communicate it externally. Some infographics will be shared on social media. This allows the target group to realize that they are not alone with their concerns.

 

In the long term, the project wishes to gain a better understanding on what are the key concerns for young professionals in work life, sharing them and potentially working with organisations to find solutions.
