GenZ Accelerator Program

The Teen Skills Up program is a social impact project aimed at addressing the skills gap amongst teenagers within the ages of 12-19 in Nigeria, by providing them with a mentorship platform and an avenue to participate in projects executed by the Kano Hub of the Global Shapers Community, in the long run, enabling them to make better career decisions and empowering them with hands-on skills needed to succeed in the current, fast-changing and future workplace.

This project will provide a mentorship platform(Monitored) for its beneficiaries during which they will be paired with mentors selected from the hub, who will help them create career goals, pathways, and serve as their accountability partners. The project will also ensure that the beneficiaries actively participate in the planning and implementation of projects executed by the Kano Hub of the Global Shapers Community. The project will provide them with learning sessions on soft skills, key global issues like climate change, the fourth industrial revolution, etc. The beneficiaries will be selected after they have completed the Aisha Kwaku and Associates leadership program.
