I Give a Crap

We are flushing away our waste with potable water every time we use our toilets. With a growing movement of urban farming around the world, what if we could shift our thinking and adopt an alternative solution to manage a resource we once considered waste?

Ecological sanitation toilets (composting toilets) are commonly used in developing countries, but with the rapid growth of climate change and the predominant threat of water scarcity around the world, composting toilets prove to be a sound alternative in developed countries as well.

I Give a Crap is a sustainable ecological sanitation education project that directly addresses rural and urban farmers’ environmental, public health, and social needs in their communities across the world. With the help of the Coca-Cola Shaping a Better Future Grant and our field partner, Silent Grace Foundation -a non-profit organization that exists to create awareness and develop projects that contribute to social justice- the San Juan Hub was able to meet an immediate and unforeseen need of providing electricity for the first time in Dessources, a community in Haiti.
