Neutral Carbon

CO2 Neutral is a project, born in 2018 and continued today, which for the first time in Argentina, connects carbon offsetting with collaborative governance. We choose to be consistent as an organization and solve a real problem that are "paper reserves", that is, areas declared as protected but without effective management or implementation. Measurements were made of the carbon footprint of the Hub members and the subsequent compensation through the criterion of "Reduction of ecological vulnerability", that is to say, the resulting action of the project should reduce the ecological vulnerability in an area of equal native forest or greater than that necessary to capture carbon equivalent to the total sum of the emissions of the members of the foundation. When mitigating the footprint, citizen participation was encouraged to apply a solution, resulting in an Interactive Tour in a local Nature Reserve. On the other hand, so that our actions are consistent, we are working on personal habits. In this way our impact is generated on a personal, professional, Hub and community level. PERSONAL LEVEL: -Working in personal habits: measurements of personal footprint and Manual of Good Practices. HUB LEVEL: - Measure and compensate for the foundation's footprint. - Incorporate Good Practices in official meetings (food, transport, energy efficiency, management of recyclable and biodegradable waste) COMMUNITY -Participation of the community in decision making at the time of compensation -Communication, information and training on the environment and its care
