Overview

It’s easy to see just how important English is around the world. Many international businesses conduct meetings in English, universities teach courses in English and, around the world, tourists and travelers use English as a common language. English is the dominant business language and it has become almost a necessity for people to speak English if they are to enter a global workforce. Therefore, it seems only natural if this same opportunity could be extended to the people whose native tongue is not English. Partnering with the Sukha Education Foundation, The Kochi Hub of Global Shapers Community hopes to bridge the English communication divide, present primarily in (although not limited by) the Kochi area, by enabling a supportive ecosystem by creating a safe space for students to learn, feel empowered and grow. 

Objective

• To enhance the communicative English speaking skills of the participants enrolled


• To provide a safe space for the participants to make mistakes and provide a platform where they can actually practice and use the English language


• Engage students in free-flow conversations on socially conscious topics

Initiatives 

1. Social Media campaign to reach out to potential  stakeholders be it teachers or students


2. Weekly classes organized by the Sukha Foundation Team


3. Reaching out to various Professional organization, colleges and other institutions that might serve to gain from such an initiatives
