Telangana - Social Impact Group (T-SIG) is a collaborative effort between Global Shapers Hyderabad, Surge Impact, an incubator-accelerator, and, the Government of Telangana. T-SIG was created to build an inclusive ecosystem of government bodies, private sector companies and social impact organizations with a shared goal of mobilizing resources for the development of the people, the community and the environment. This ecosystem is created through: 1. A CSR Portal that lists vetted projects and facilitates interaction, cross collaboration, fund-raising and volunteer recruitment 2. Quarterly meetings that provide a forum for one-on-one, closed working group engagements 3. Annual recognition events by screening and acknowledging the most active and impactful CSR.

In light of the pandemic and how it has drastically changed our overal functioning, activities and priorities, the T-SIG project has provided a platform which has evolved to officially lead CSR collaborations in the State of Telangana, along with social impact organisations to build an inclusive ecosystem. Since March 2020, the priority of the initiative has been to provide COVID-19 relief, support and help - COVID Relief Effort Summary.

Covid 19, or Coronavirus is an unprecedented crisis. It is putting to test all our resourcefulness and inventiveness. While the Government of India and Government of Telangana are racing against time to contain the extent of disease spread, reports from cities across the country are suggesting that the best outcomes are emerging where civil society actors and private corporate actors also collaborate.
