Tomorrow Starts Today

The aim of this project is to expand the worldview of  street kids by imbibing the pursuit of literacy, productivity, positivity and responsibility as this will ensure they are better citizens of today's and tomorrow's society


PROPOSED SOLUTION: The Global Shapers Community, Port Harcourt hub initiated the project to  address the Sustainable Development Goals, in commemoration of the Annual Youth Day of Service 2020. IYD 2020  "Youth Engagement for Global Action“


The project at the De- Marillac center too place on 15th August, 2020 and It involved a safety conscious, interactive curriculum, which explored topics such as educating the children on the Sustainable Development Goals, A COVID-19 Awareness talk , Civic Education, Recycling and Upcycling Skills development using old tires and converting them to side tables among others, in a simplified, child-friendly format with interactive teaching aids such as games, comics and visual aids. This aim of this project is to provide a curriculum of skills and valuable knowledge which will enable them to have improved prospects and contribute productively to society

 TARGET GROUP: This project targeted street kids between the ages of 6-21 , in the care of De-Marillac Center for Street Children, in Port Harcourt Rivers State.
