Problem statement

Lack of education and awareness about climate change in educational institutions in Aguascalientes.

Target group

High school and university students who are not receiving climate education.

Proposed solution

Integrate climate change education into the curriculum of educational institutions through a climate regenerative education methodology that involves providing specialized training and support to teachers, and engaging students in projects that allow them to apply the knowledge gained.

Hub activities

Develop the methodology and prepare materials for its implementation in the schools within the six week program.

Short & long-term Goals/Results

  • Short- term: Pilot project with a 6 weeks duration (one per module) which will include various assessments to ensure the proper application of the methodology.

  • Long-term: Expand the scope of the program to further stakeholders in other places within the state.

Available metrics

  • The number of educational institutions that successfully implement the methodology.

  • The number of teachers who receive specialized training and support.

  • The number of students who participate in a project and apply their knowledge.

  • Changes in the attitudes, behaviors, and actions of young people towards climate change.

Collaborators

Our most important alliances will be with universities to pilot our regenerative methodology with teachers and students who can provide additional expertise and human resources in the dissemination of our project and the landing of the pilot's teachings.
