About this session

Globally, 1 in 5 people in employment has experienced violence or harassment at work. Psychological violence alone affects nearly 18% of workers — yet youth voices are among the last to be consulted in shaping the policies meant to address it.

This workshop is part of Mehfooz, a Global Shapers Karachi project now in its third year, evolving from awareness to advocacy. We are opening the conversation to Shapers across 100+ hubs to co-create a Global Youth Policy Book on the Future of Work — one that is violence-free, safe, and dignified by default.

In this 30-minute session, we'll explore:

- Violence and harassment in emerging work environments (digital, hybrid, informal)

- What institutional accountability and early-response systems must look like

- What "violence-free work" means for the next generation of workers

How your input will be used

This is not a symbolic consultation. Contributions from this session will directly inform a policy document intended for institutions, employers, and global platforms shaping the future of work. Contributing Shapers will be credited in the final publication.
