Pollution is now a daily reality for millions, with serious consequences for human and planetary health. Young people bear an outsized share of this burden, undermining lifelong health and limiting healthy, active lifestyles – but we believe they are an essential part of the solution. Data-driven insights and innovative solutions at the local level are crucial to orchestrating change.

Through the Collaborative, Global Shaper Hubs assess the ability of their communities to cope with air pollution using an existing framework. They identify gaps and determine priorities across six dimensions of readiness: data, impacts, awareness & communication, politics & policies, implementation, and the strength of measures in place. In parallel with collecting insights, Hubs design and implement tangible, community-level projects across the principal tracks. These come together to form a global, concerted communications campaign pushing action on clean air for everyone, everywhere.

By mobilizing more than 100 Hubs worldwide, we are building momentum for a movement that puts young people at the heart of action for healthier, more inclusive societies.
