Women make up 60% of entrepreneurs across Africa, yet in South Africa, they receive only 13% of venture capital funding. This gap that highlights a systemic barrier that limits their ability to scale their ventures. This project seeks to challenge the status quo by empowering 30 female entrepreneurs, aged 18-35, who face challenges like limited access to funding, mentorship, and business networks. Through an AI-driven chatbot, mentorship, business skills training, and strategic partnerships, we will provide the critical support these women need to grow their businesses. By creating a centralized resource hub and facilitating continuous learning, the project will break down barriers to business growth.
In the short term, we aim to secure funding for at least five new ventures, pair 30 entrepreneurs with mentors, and organize five workshops and networking events. Over time, the program will expand to support 2000+ entrepreneurs, drive economic growth, and create a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem in South Africa.
